Chicken A La King - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. instant chicken bouillon granules
    1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces
    1/4 c. chopped pimiento
    1 chicken, cooked and deboned
Preparation
    For sauce, in a saucepan, melt butter.
    Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
    Add milk, 1 cup water and chicken bouillon granules, all at once.
    Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly.
    Cook and stir for 1 to 2 minutes more.
    Stir in chicken, mushroom stems and pieces (drained) and pimiento.
    Heat through. Serve spooned over toast, toasted English muffins or baked patty shells.
    Serves 4.
