Ingredients

2 eggs, well beaten
3/4 c. sugar
1 pkg. pitted dates
1 stick margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. Rice Krispies cereal
1/2 c. finely chopped nuts (optional)
shredded coconut
Preparation

Combine eggs, sugar, pitted dates and margarine in skillet over low heat.
Stir constantly, until mixture forms thick paste. Remove from heat.
Add vanilla, Rice Krispies and nuts.
Roll into balls and then into coconut.
Makes 50 to 60 pieces.
