Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 small pkg. coconut
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    8 oz. cream cheese
    1 stick melted butter
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    1 box powdered sugar
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream 1 stick butter and shortening; add sugar and beat well. Add egg, one at a time, alternating with flour, soda and buttermilk.
    Add vanilla, coconut and 1 cup of pecans.
    Bake in 3 prepared 9-inch pans at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
