Potluck Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 lb.) frozen hash brown potatoes
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    2 c. shredded cheese
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 pt. sour cream
    2 c. crushed corn flakes or Chex
    1/4 c. melted butter
Preparation
    Combine first 7 ingredients.
    Pour into buttered 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
    Combine corn flakes (or Chex) with melted 1/4 cup butter; top casserole.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
