Whipped Yellow Turnips - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 lb. potatoes, peeled and quartered
    fresh turnips, peeled and diced into 1/2-inch pieces
    boiling salted water
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. each: pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg
Preparation
    Cook potatoes and turnips in boiling salt water to cover in 3-quart covered saucepan over medium heat, about 20 minutes. Drain.
    Return to pan.
    Shake pan over low heat a few seconds to dry.
    Mash vegetables.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Beat with fork until fluffy.
