Butterscotch Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. cream
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. shredded coconut
    nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Cook butter and sugar over low heat until bubbly.
    Cool and add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly.
    Add vanilla and cream, then sifted dry ingredients and coconut.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Nuts may be added.
    Spread in shallow pan (greased) and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 25 minutes.
    While warm, cut in squares.
