Shrimp Soup(Sopa De Camaron) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. small fresh or frozen uncooked shrimp
    4 c. chicken broth
    1/4 c. Casera sauce
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. ground saffron
    dash of pepper
    1 tsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. cold water
    1/2 c. half and half
    1/4 c. snipped parsley
Preparation
    Peel and devein shrimp; chop.
    Place shrimp, 1 cup of chicken broth and the Casera sauce in blender.
    Cover and blend on high speed until smooth.
    Heat shrimp mixture, the remaining broth, salt, saffron and pepper to boiling.
    Mix cornstarch and water; stir into shrimp mixture to thicken.
    Heat to boiling; cook and stir for 1 minute.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in half and half. Garnish with parsley.
    Yields 5 cups.
