Mother Baker'S Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. butter
    1 lb. pecans
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 lb. orange peel
    1 box raisins
    3 eggs
    2 boxes chopped dates
    1 lb. brown sugar
    4 c. flour
    1/2 lb. candied pineapple
    1/4 lb. lemon peel
    1 box currants
    1/2 c. dark syrup
Preparation
    Cream butter and brown sugar well, adding well beaten eggs, flour and baking powder.
    Add fruit that has been mixed with a cup of the flour.
    Let pressure come to 5 open pet cock and cook one hour.
    Close and raise to 15.
