Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head lettuce
6 to 8 hard-boiled eggs
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed
2 bunches scallions
1 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled in bits
2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
mayonnaise
Preparation

Chop up 3 to 4 cups lettuce.
Place in large bowl or oblong pan.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper and approximately 1 teaspoon sugar.
Layer with sliced hard-boiled eggs, salt and pepper. Sprinkle peas (I never use whole box).
Layer remaining lettuce. Top with bacon bits and then Cheddar cheese.
Seal top of salad with mayonnaise.
Decorate with scallions.
