Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. pecans
    1 tsp. soda dissolved in 1/2 c. buttermilk or sour milk
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. mashed real ripe bananas
Preparation
    Cream sugar with shortening.
    Add eggs and beat well.
    Add pecans, soda and milk.
    Add flour, salt, vanilla and bananas.
    Mix well.
    Bake in loaf or layer pan at 350\u00b0 about 35 minutes.
