Mock Angel Food Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. cake flour
2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
7 egg whites
1 tsp. cream of tartar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift flour 5 times, then add sugar and salt.
Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until about half stiff, then add baking powder.
Beat until it stands in peaks.
Now pour boiling water over flour and sugar and stir until well mixed.
Add vanilla. Fold in egg whites until well blended.
Bake in ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan in slow oven at 320\u00b0.
