Uncle Hollie'S Sponge Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. dark corn syrup
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Combine sugar, syrup and vinegar in 2-quart bowl.
    Cover with plastic wrap and microwave on High 3 minutes.
    Stir well. Microwave, uncovered, on High 4 to 10 minutes, until thickened (300\u00b0).
    Test by dropping in cold water.
    Remove the threads; if they bend, cook more.
    It is done if it is very brittle.
    Quickly stir in soda and mix well.
