Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. corn syrup
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    6 qt. popcorn, popped
    1 c. pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Melt
    margarine;
    add\tsugar,\tsyrup
    and
    salt.
    Stir constantly until sugar is dissolved.
    Let boil over low heat 5 minutes; do not stir.
    Remove from heat;
    add soda and flavoring. Stir real good;
    this will be foamy.
    Pour over corn and mix real good.
    Bake
    in
    250\u00b0 oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Let cool and break apart.
