Variety Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    4 Tbsp. oil
    3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs, separated
    3/4 c. milk
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. vanilla or 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
    Cream butter and oil with sugar until creamy.
    Add egg yolks and flavoring; mix well.
    Gradually add dry ingredients, alternating with milk.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites; blend lightly.
    Pour into 3 greased and floured 9-inch pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Cool.
    Split layers for 6 pieces.
