Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/4 c. Crisco oil
1 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vinegar
5/8 oz. red food color
Preparation

Beat eggs; add sugar, cooking oil and vinegar.
Sift flour and soda together.
Add the remaining ingredients.
Bake in a tube pan for 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Test with a toothpick.
