Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef, cut into small cubes
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    1 1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes (undrained), chopped or fresh tomatoes
    3 Tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
    2 to 3 potatoes, peeled and cubed
    3 beef bouillon cubes
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
    1 frozen pkg. peas and carrots
Preparation
    Brown meat in oil in skillet.
    Add other ingredients in Dutch oven.
    Bake in oven at 325\u00b0 for 2 hours.
    (Can put in crock-pot for 4 to 5 hours.)
