Fig Strawberry Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. mashed figs
    3 c. sugar
    2 (3 oz.) boxes or 1 (6 oz.) box strawberry gelatin
Preparation
    Cook mashed figs and sugar for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Add gelatin and boil until it dissolves.
    Pour into hot sterilized pint jars and seal.
