Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1 to 1 1/2 c. raw peanuts
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Combine sugar and syrup in 2-quart casserole.
    Microwave on High 5 minutes.
    Stir in peanuts.
    Microwave 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until peanuts and syrup are lightly browned.
    Stir in butter, vanilla and soda until foamy.
    Spread 1/4-inch thick on buttered cookie sheet.
    Makes 1 pound.
