Split Pea Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. green split peas, washed and sorted
3 qt. water
parsley, dill, oregano and bay leaves to taste
1/4 to 1 c. carrots
1/4 to 1 c. celery
1/4 to 1 c. cabbage
1/4 to 1 c. onion
canned or fresh corn
2 cubes beef or chicken bouillon
1 jar Gerber 2nd or 3rd foods (chicken or beef)
Preparation

Heat water, peas and spices to boiling.
Simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours until peas are soft.
Add vegetables and simmer until tender (may need to add more water).
Add bouillon and jarred meat.
Heat and serve.
