Freezer Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. cucumbers, sliced thin
    2 c. onion, sliced thin
    4 tsp. plain salt
    2 c. cold water
    3/4 to 1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white vinegar
Preparation
    Mix salt and water and pour over cucumber and onion; let stand 2 hours.
    Drain (don't rinse).
    Mix sugar and white vinegar.
    Stir until all the sugar is dissolved.
    Pour over cucumber and onion. Pack in containers and put in freezer.
