Health Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. active dry yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    1 c. quick cooking oats
    2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. raisins
    2 2/3 c. boiling water
    1 c. bran
    3/4 c. molasses or sorghum
    1 c. stirred whole wheat flour
    6 or more c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Soften yeast in warm water.
    Combine next 6 ingredients and cool to lukewarm.
    Add softened yeast and molasses.
    Stir in whole wheat flour; beat well.
    Gradually add enough flour to make a soft dough.
    Turn out on lightly floured surface.
    Knead until smooth. Place in a greased bowl and turn once.
    Cover with damp cloth. Let rise in warm spot until double in bulk, 1 or more hours. Punch down.
    Let rest for 10 minutes.
    Shape into 2 loaves in greased 9 1/2 x 5 x 3-inch bread pans.
    Let rise until double, approximately 45 minutes.
    Bake for 40 to 50 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven. Great toasted.
