Slovenian Cabbage And Noodles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. wide egg noodles
boiling salted water
1/2 to 1 c. butter
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
1 large head cabbage, cored and chopped
1 1/2 to 2 c. cooked ham, diced or cubed
salt and pepper
Preparation

Cook noodles in water; drain thoroughly and set aside.
In large skillet, melt 1/2 cup butter; add onions and cook until tender.
Add cabbage; cook until tender and light golden brown. Add additional butter if onions and cabbage stick to skillet. Add ham and mix thoroughly.
Stir in noodles and heat through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Makes 6 servings.
