Tommi'S Fantastic Sweet And Sour "Whatever" Chinese-Texas Style - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1/4 c. white vinegar
    meat balls, spareribs, shrimp or fish
    1 small can pineapple chunks
    3 to 4 small onions, cut into fourths
    1 green pepper, cut into eighths
    4 tsp. cornstarch
    8 tsp. water
Preparation
    Combine sugar, soy sauce and vinegar in a heavy skillet.
    Add cooked meat balls, browned spareribs (cut in 1-inch pieces) or fish.
    Add pineapple, onions and green pepper; spoon sauce over top.
    Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
    Mix together the cornstarch and water; stir into pan and cook 3 to 5 minutes more.
    (If using shrimp, add during last 3 to 5 minutes to avoid overcooking.)
