Tangy Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cut up fryer or 6 breasts
    1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
    1 (8 oz.) bottle Catalina dressing
    1 can whole cranberries
    1 large onion, cut fine
    1 large bell pepper, cut fine
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1 lb. hamburger meat
    2 1/2 c. canned tomatoes (I use two cans stewed tomatoes and cut them up if they need it)
    1/2 c. uncooked rice (I use Minute rice)
    1 tsp. chili powder (you've got to be kidding! I put this in until I feel like I've got enough; I like to be able to taste the spicy taste, so put a lot of this in there!)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Cook onion and green pepper slowly in shortening until onion is yellow.
    Add meat and cook until it gets brown.
    I always drain the grease off right here.
    Add tomatoes, rice and seasoning.
    Put in casserole dish (large size) and bake in oven at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
