Italian Creme Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    5 eggs, separated
    1 stick oleo
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 small can coconut
    2 c. flour, sifted
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. pecans, chopped
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream oleo, sugar and Crisco.
    Add beaten egg yolks.
    Add soda to buttermilk.
    Alternate, adding buttermilk and flour to creamed mixture.
    Add pecans, coconut and vanilla.
    Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture.
    Bake three layers at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes. Do not overbake!
