Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 tsp. minced garlic, dried
    3 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 qt. canned tomatoes with juice
    1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 tsp. oregano (dried)
    1 tsp. basil leaves
Preparation
    Cook onion in oil until tender.
    Remove from oil.
    In a large pot,
    place
    onions
    and the rest of the ingredients to simmer. Cook for about 30 minutes.\tYou may add more water if you desire a
    thinner\tsauce.\tThis may be used as is, or you may
    add
    1 pound
    fried hamburger or sausage.\tOne small can mushrooms may also be added, if desired.\tServe over spaghetti noodles.
    Serves 8.
