Vidalia Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. Vidalia onions, sliced and separated
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. heavy or whipping cream
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    paprika
Preparation
    In saucepan, combine onions with water to cover.
    Bring to a boil; boil 1 minute.
    Drain and transfer to an 8-inch square baking dish.
    In bowl, combine egg, cream, salt and pepper; pour over onions.
    Sprinkle with cheese, then paprika.
    Bake 25 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
