Crunch Fried Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 tomatoes, washed and sliced (3/4-inch thick)
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. dry bread crumbs
    1/3 c. oil
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Pour oil into skillet to heat.
    Dip tomato slices in egg, then into crumbs.
    Add tomato slices.
    Cook, turning once until brown. Serves 4.
