Freezer Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. salt
    2 qt. sliced, unpeeled cucumbers
    2 onions, sliced into rings
    1/2 c. vinegar (white)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    In a bowl, slice cucumbers and onions as thinly as possible. Cover with salt and mix well.
    Let stand 2 hours, then drain well. Combine sugar, vinegar and celery seed in saucepan and heat to boiling.
    Cool completely.
    Pour over cucumbers and onions and stir.
    Let stand 24 hours.
