Cherry Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. oil
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    3 c. flour
    1/2 c. orange juice
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    3 eggs
    1 jar cherries or 1 qt. pie filling
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients except cherries.
    Spread half the batter into a large ungreased baking dish.
    Pour cherries over batter. Spread the rest of the batter over top of cherries.
    Top with 1/2 cup of sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
    If using fresh or frozen fruit, thicken with cornstarch mixed in water and add sugar to taste.
