Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 pt. half and half
    2 1/4 c. sugar
    7 eggs
    dash of salt
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Scald half and half.
    Blend eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt. Add to half and half.
    Cook to a medium thick custard.
    Remove from heat to cool.
    Freeze in 5-quart freezer.
