Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. cornmeal
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
3/4 c. boiling water
1/2 c. melted butter
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. chopped onions

Preparation

Mix all together ingredients and drop by spoonfuls in hot oil. Fry until golden brown.
