Pecan Sandies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. finely chopped pecans

Preparation

Cream butter and shortening; gradually add 1 cup sugar and cream again.
Mix dry ingredients.
Gradually add to creamed mixture.
Stir in nuts.
Shape into 1-inch balls.
Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
Flatten balls to 1/3 inch with glass dipped in sugar.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Bake just until edges start to brown, no longer.
