Bagels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 c. flour
1 Tbsp. salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 cakes fresh yeast
2 c. lukewarm potato water, divided*
1/4 c. salad oil
4 eggs, slightly beaten
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 qt. boiling water
poppy or sesame seed (optional)
Preparation

Sift together dry ingredients (except seeds and 2 tablespoons sugar) into a large mixing bowl.
Soften yeast in 1/3 of the potato water.
Add to dry ingredients.
Add oil to remaining potato water and stir into flour mixture.
Add eggs and stir briskly to form a ball of dough.
