Southern Style Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

yellow cake mix
1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding
2 large cans crushed pineapple
2 large cans cherry pie filling
bananas
1 large Cool Whip
2 c. pecans (more or less to taste)
Preparation

First, in an extra bowl that you'll set aside, slice bananas and pour juice from crushed pineapple over them and let them soak. It helps keep the bananas from turning brown.
Make cake; cool and crumble 1/2 in bottom of punch bowl.
Make instant pudding; pour 1/2 over cake and spread one can of drained crushed pineapple over pudding.
Spread 1 can of cherries over pineapple.
Now layer with the bananas that have been soaking, then spread Cool Whip over bananas.
Top with pecans.
Repeat, cake, pudding, pineapple, cherries, bananas, Cool Whip and top with pecans.
Keep in refrigerator overnight.
