Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 c. crushed pineapple
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. nuts
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugars.
Add eggs and pineapple.
Mix well.
Add vanilla. Sift flour; measure and sift again with salt, soda and baking powder.
Add to mixture.
Add nuts and drop by teaspoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 minutes in 425\u00b0 oven.
(Sometimes it takes longer than 10 minutes, depending on size of cookie.)
