Deluxe Pork Chop Suey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. fresh lean pork, shredded
    1 medium onion, sliced thin
    1 Tbsp. soya sauce
    3 c. or 1/2 lb. fresh bean sprouts
    1/2 c. shredded bamboo shoots
    1/2 c. sliced water chestnuts
    1/2 c. sliced canned mushrooms or 1 c. fresh, sliced
    1/2 to 3/4 c. sliced celery
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/3 c. water
    2 Tbsp. oil
Preparation
    Marinate strips of pork and onion in soya sauce for 20 minutes. Dissolve cornstarch in water.
    Heat oil until it begins to smoke in a wok or skillet.
    Add pork and onion and stir-fry until pork is browned. Cover and cook 3 more minutes until thoroughly cooked.
    Uncover and add bean sprouts and celery. Stir and cook 2 minutes. Add rest of ingredients and stir-fry thoroughly.
    Cover and cook 3 more minutes.
    Uncover and add cornstarch solution, stirring thoroughly, before adding to the wok.
    Shut heat off and stir all food together. Serve over rice. Serves 4 to 6.
