Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/4 c. flour
1 2/3 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. (2 medium) mashed bananas
2/3 c. buttermilk *
2/3 c. margarine or butter, softened
2 eggs
2/3 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

*May substitute for buttermilk:
scant 2/3 cup milk and 1 3/4 teaspoons lemon juice or vinegar stirred in.
Let stand for 5 minutes before adding to cake.
