Candied Yams - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 stick butter
1 c. sugar
dash of salt
3 medium yams
1 Tbsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. water
Preparation
-
Peel and cut yams in quarters.
Sprinkle sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and butter over top.
Cover and simmer over medium heat until liquid forms a syrup.
Remove from heat and add vanilla.
