Pudding Tortoni - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small pkg. vanilla or coconut pudding (not instant)
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla or almond extract
    1 c. heavy cream
    1/3 c. toasted coconut and/or ground nuts
Preparation
    Combine pudding mix, milk and sugar in saucepan.
    Stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a full boil.
    Remove from heat, cover with waxed paper and chill.
    Then beat pudding; add extract. Whip cream and fold into pudding.
    Pour into paper cups or muffin tins.
    Sprinkle with toasted coconut and top with maraschino cherries.
    Freeze until firm and eat directly from freezer. Serves 12.
