New England Clam Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 Tbsp. butter
1 c. finely chopped onion
1/4 lb. bacon, cut into small pieces
1 c. milk
3 c. canned clams and juice
2 potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch cubes
1/2 tsp. freshly chopped parsley
1/2 tsp. freshly chopped dill
1/2 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. salt
freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 c. light cream
Preparation

Melt 1 tablespoon of butter over low heat in skillet; saute onion until shiny.
Remove onion and set aside in large saucepan. Fry bacon in skillet until crisp; add to onion in saucepan.
