Cherry-Blossom Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 oz. maraschino cherries
1/2 c. butter, softened
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Drain and chop cherries, reserving juices. Add enough water to reserved juice to measure 1 cup. Combine butter, sugar and egg in bowl.
Beat well. Add dry ingredients alternately with cherry liquid, mixing well after each addition. Stir in nuts and cherries.
Spoon into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 until loaf tests done.
