Lemon Sponge Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. flour
grated rind of 1 lemon
4 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. melted shortening
2 slightly beaten egg yolks
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
2 stiffly beaten egg whites
1 unbaked pie shell
Preparation

Mix sugar with flour and grated rind; mix with lemon juice, shortening and egg yolks.
Mix in salt and milk; mix well.
Fold in egg whites.
Bake in oven 40 minutes at 375\u00b0.
