Ingredients

1/4 c. uncooked rice
1 qt. hot milk
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. raisins
3/4 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine rice and milk.
Place the mixture in a greased baking dish.
Bake, covered, at 250\u00b0 for 1 hour, stirring 4 times. Combine sugar, salt and nutmeg.
Stir into rice mixture with the raisins and vanilla.
Bake, uncovered, 1 1/2 hours longer.
Makes 6 servings.
