Asparagus Casserole - cooking recipe

1 roll Ritz crackers, crushed
1 stick butter, melted
4 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
1 jar Old English cheese spread
2 cans asparagus, well drained
1/2 c. slivered or sliced almonds
Preparation

Mix crushed Ritz crackers and 1 stick melted butter together; set aside.
Combine 4 tablespoons butter, flour, milk and cheese spread; cook until smooth and thick.
Grease a baking dish and spread with 1/2 of cracker mixture.
Put well drained asparagus on top of this mixture.
Place slivered or sliced almonds on top, then pour sauce mixture over this.
Top with the rest of the cracker crumbs.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 30 minutes or until brown.
