Christmas Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. jar dill pickles (whole), drain and discard juice
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. horseradish (optional)
    1 small onion, chopped fine
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Slice pickles and pour mixed ingredients over.
    Shake to dissolve sugar.
    Pickles get crispy and ready to eat overnight.
