Corn Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 egg
1 1/4 c. buttermilk
2 Tbsp. soft shortening
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. flour
3/4 c. cornmeal
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Beat egg well; add and beat all other ingredients.
Bake on lightly greased griddle.
