Crisp Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. sliced cucumbers
    6 medium white onions, sliced
    2 green peppers, chopped
    1/3 c. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    3 c. vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    5 c. sugar
Preparation
    Put cucumbers, onions and peppers in a large pan or bowl. Then add salt and cover with ice.
    Mix throughly.
    Let stand for 3 hours.
    Drain.
