Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 hen or fryer, boiled
    4 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    3 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Boil chicken until tender.
    Take skin and bones out.
    Combine all in the pan and bring chicken broth to a boil.
    Add dumplings one at a time.
    Let boil until tender.
    Add water if needed.
    Turn dumplings one at a time until done.
