French Potato Gratin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 medium potatoes (2 lb.)
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    dash of grated nutmeg
    2 cloves garlic, pressed
    1 1/2 c. whipping cream
    1/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Peel and slice potatoes thinly.
    Lightly grease an ovenproof casserole.
    Layer potato slices in casserole, sprinkling each layer with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
    Press garlic over mixture. Add cream and milk.
    (This all can be done ahead of time and chilled.)
